father's day is ok

wow.  i am behind.  we have been busy with renovations to our house and then a fantastic visit from my parents.  so to catch you up, we will start with the simplest.  father's day.  

we enjoyed some time with our friends.  we had a bbq with all the fun {although N might disagree, he was a little out numbered}.

the girls had a ball.

it has been hot, so the pool has worked out nicely.

N decided to go solo and cool off on his own...

while the girls made a mad dash for the pool.  

the dads hung back to enjoy a few drinks and the ladies tried to sneak as much a/c as possible with a bucket of margaritas close by.

friends, part 2

with a visit from our friends, we had to give them a tour of all the hots spots...

we packed all four car seats into the van and asked for a few funny faces...

now in order of age, b {4}, myah {4}, macy {2}, and n {2}.  what a group.

and we rounded out this day with a stop at the frozen yogurt shop.  

we took over 500 photos of this crew {and if you know me, this is not surprising}, so there is more to come... happy monday.

friends

our friends from iowa came down to play for nearly a week.  

this is b and myah when they last visited us... way back in november of '06.

here the girls are now.  still friends.

n and macy were only about 3 months old when they first met, so now was their time to play.  

everyone is the same age... n is 2, b is 4, myah is 4, and macy is 2.  perfect... or double the trouble.

another party

we had a special birthday party to attend... addie's.

she is our dear friend who move away to kansas.

we were lucky though, she returned to host her birthday party at a fun ceramics studio.

together we painted and enjoyed the company of our friends.

zoo night

Our local zoo had a member's night.  We road the train, enjoyed dinner with our good friends, and took a trip around the carousel.  

B thought it was extra fun to be at the zoo in the dark (N was not as impressed).

In between the running around, we had a playdate with our good friends.  

Perfect time for a little dress-up!  

fabulous weekend

We spent a lovely weekend in San Antonio, TX with friends... 

my best friend of 30 years (or so). 

We enjoyed our time walking around, taking in the sites and people.  

N thought this hat was hilarious...

Summer fun

We have had a few summer adventures and I'm way behind on filling you in on our fun!  

The last weekend of June was packed full of activities.  

We met our friends in Pawhuska, OK for the Osage Tribe's ceremonial dances.  What an experience.  

We had such a great time catching up with our friends (who just moved to KS and were in Pawhuska to visit).  The kids LOVED playing together again.

The girls are such a pair.  The dances were amazing.  We even got to see our friends dance!

Here we are in Oklahoma...

Friends and family are always interested in the little things in life and this may make it easier to learn more about our family at your leisure.  Grandparents on both sides are still blessed with dial-up internet and this is much easier than Facebook!  

Oklahoma is where we hang our hat and the weather yesterday was beautiful -  70's and it couldn't be better.  

We had a great and well needed visit from my friends over the weekend.  We had a great time with them.  We had a girls day of shopping.  We spent some time at Utica Square and ended the day on the patio at Starbucks.  We had a personal introduction to Wii and I think E could be addicted.  Guitar Hero and a few beers took the guys late into the last evening, we shared a bottle of wine and downloaded our photos to our Facebook accounts - all before they all had to make the drive back to Texas.  I really missed my best friend and am so grateful for the time we had together.  We will do it again soon.  

B and N have both been under the weather.  Over the weekend N had croup.  Yuck!  The coughing then began for B and continues today.  N has since been to the doctor twice.  Yesterday he tested positive for RSV.  Poor guy!  So, now we're home trying breathing treatments and getting the kids on the road to recovery.
