one of our favorite things to do... visit Steamboat Springs, CO with Nanny and Papa.

it's always relaxing, quiet, and a great time with Nanny and Papa.

happy easter

spring is here and the weather this weekend was really nice, nearly 80.  

we were invited to a farm by another TU family for an egg hunt, lunch, and to see new chicks.  

B even won a hula hoop.

you know N just loved the chicks more than anything. 

B thought they were pretty cool, too.  they all were different colors.  

we played in the fields... mommy and daddy both got ticks.  fun. 

we got a little goofy, too.

easter sunday was spent constructing a play deck {of course, involves multiple trips to the hardware store}.  

who doesn't want to hunt eggs twice?

then two other families joined us at our house for another egg hunt, cracking eggs over each others' heads and dinner.

we are blessed to have our TU family here.

all the kids had another great day together.  

we are all here, far from family.  so, we are banning together and created our own family here.

we survived

we survived the storm... now we are having a little fun in it.  

our vintage sled works perfect with all the ice.

b and n have so much fun together these days.

let it snow

we had lots of snow on christmas eve...

so of course, christmas day was spent in the snow

the kids loved playing and playing

we even used my childhood sled... talk about retro vintage, but it is perfect for the kind of snow we have around here.

yesterday we made a fort... everyone had a ball.

we had lots of fun together outside... possibly more snow expected today?  crazy!

now that i have a little off my plate, i can share some of our recent this and thats... rounding out fall.

you know us, we love our neighborhood walks.

the kids stopping by to see if they could climb this tree... ambitious.

Autumn leaves still falling

We love Fall and our weather is fantastic.

Tossing the leaves, playing, and laughing...

This has been a daily event at our house... and yes, they are still in their jammies.

birthday celebration with friends

We celebrated on Sunday with our friends.

B loved her cake.

We enjoyed the company of our friends.

Then we took the party to the Pumpkin Patch.

B went down the slide with her friend.

N played with the pumpkins.

We all took a hayride in a field.

It was a little cold.

But it was a fun way to celebrate B's birthday and Autumn.

Steamboat Springs

On to Steamboat Springs, CO where our days were full of adventure, sites, lots of playing, swimming, and relaxing.  One of our days we walked an easy trail up to see the falls.  It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed seeing the plants, bugs, and chipmunks.

Another day we went on a biking adventure along the Yampa River trail, which runs along the town.  We stopped for the sites, shopping and ice cream.  This day was a lot of fun.  

We took a pit stop to play and relax at a super fabulous park.  

Papa found the best place to hang out...

Then we biked more and then it was time for lunch.  

We had lunch at the most refreshing place, Freshies.  Loved it!

It was so wonderful, I would not mind making it our annual vacation location.
